'nohup' is a DJ, producer, and tool builder based in Seattle, WA.

As a DJ, they play across the whole history of dance music at once, mixing records that were never meant to meet and treating the differences as the point rather than something to hide.

As a solo ambient artist, they transform dance-floor hits into long-form meditations, pulling apart melody, time, and memory until each track becomes a weightless echo of its former self.

They operate the label illegal afters tracks and are a co-founder of the Ground Hum music festival.

They also build Bandcamp Tempo Adjust and Discogs Tempo Adjust, two tools for DJs to play with the BPM of music on the web.
