About
Fred P (Fred Peterkin) is a New York-raised, Berlin-based DJ and producer whose two-decade catalog stands among the deepest and most soulful in house music.
He came up dancing in legendary NYC rooms like Red Zone, Sound Factory, and Tunnel, absorbing sets from the likes of David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, and Danny Tenaglia — an education that taught him restraint, feel, and the value of listening inward rather than to the market.
For over a decade he ran his own label, Soul People Music, and continues to record under the alias Black Jazz Consortium, exploring a jazzier, more atmospheric strain of deep house. His sets are known as immersive, storytelling journeys, carried across rooms as varied as Panorama Bar and Tresor.
